Looking back on Omnipresent’s 2022 highlights

With 2022 coming to an end, we look back on how far we’ve come over the past year. We’ve been busy growing our team, product, and business. So we’re excited to share our best moments with you.

We started the year strong

We were fortunate to start the year on a high note with the support we needed to fuel our rapid growth. In March, we successfully secured $120 million for our Series B funding. This was an incredible achievement that we’re all really proud of.  More importantly, it has helped drive our mission forward to help businesses build the best teams on earth.

Our lead investors are believers in our mission and approach to global work. They include Kinnevik, a European growth investor, and Tencent, a global technology company. We also received investments from San Francisco-based Uncorrelated Ventures and some of our long-standing investors. We're thrilled that Episode 1, Playfair Capital, and Truesight Ventures have been with us since our seed round and Series A.

This funding has enabled us to scale our team and develop our services to meet the ever-growing demand for global employment. And as we look back on this year, we dare say we’ve made significant strides in our progress.

We made our product even better

Providing the right tools to help our clients support their global teams is a top priority. So we’re constantly striving to build a better product for them.

In 2022, we released several highly requested features within the OmniPlatform. These will help our clients to streamline global operations and create a top-quality employee experience.

Here are just some of the features we launched this year:

An all-new admin dashboard

When you log into the OmniPlatform, you’ll now be directed to an all-new dashboard. Get an overview of important pending tasks and see notifications for expenses. You will also be able to view your global team footprint and individual employee onboarding statuses.

A more powerful OmniAtlas

Stay up to date with country-specific employment, benefits, and payroll information in our enhanced OmniAtlas. Compare employee hiring criteria across countries to plan for your global expansion. This information will also help you meet or exceed expectations for employment packages. That way, you can acquire and retain the best talent.

Visa support and sponsorships

Having visa sponsorship options is crucial if you’re hiring internationally or want to offer relocation options. We’re delighted to now offer visa support and sponsorships for 50+ countries. We’ll help you understand various visa options, apply for sponsorship, and navigate each step so you can confidently hire and manage a global team.

Access for line managers

We’ve added new manager and super manager roles to which you can assign direct reports. Managers will also be able to approve expenses for their direct reports in this latest update to the OmniPlatform.

We helped shape the future of work

We understand firsthand how challenging it can be for companies to go global. So we wanted to share our expertise to help businesses embark on this journey.  

In September, we published our Global Teams report. This shares how global, remote teams will change the future of work.

It’s an essential read for all business leaders and HR professionals who work within knowledge industries. The report shares how global work will change how we hire, collaborate, and build solutions to some of the world’s most pressing issues.

Then, in August, we launched the OmniAcademy. This is our free online learning platform dedicated to helping businesses go global. Each course is designed and taught by experts in their field and is broken down into digestible lessons. Each lesson is packed with actionable tips and step-by-step guides to help learners build successful global businesses.

Our first course about international hiring explains how to source, recruit, and manage talent on a global scale. Our second course teaches the ins and outs of hiring international talent through an Employer of Record (EOR). And we’re excited to announce that our third course will be released in January 2023. It will guide current and aspiring remote workers to build a world-class remote career driven by excellence, freedom, and flexibility.

We grew as a team

This was an amazing year of growth for Omnipresent. We expanded our team across 54 countries. With so many new faces, it was important to maintain the global culture we built, with everyone championing our mission, cause, and values.

We got everyone together for an OmniRetreat, which was our second annual company-wide offsite. 350 of us gathered in sunny Panama from all across the world for five days of connection, celebration, and clarity.

The entire retreat took months of research, planning, and dedication. But it all paid off. Amid jungle walks, poolside conversations, and team dinners, we strengthened our connections and sparked new ideas. And best of all, we came home with newfound energy and motivation for the months to come.
