There are two main SHRM certifications:

Eligibility Requirements
Eligibility is based on a combination of educational background and professional HR experience:
- SHRM-CP:
- Bachelor’s degree + 1 year HR experience, or
- Secondary school education + 3 years HR experience
- Bachelor’s degree + 1 year HR experience, or
- SHRM-SCP:
- Bachelor’s degree + 4 years HR experience, or
- Secondary school education + 7 years HR experience
- Bachelor’s degree + 4 years HR experience, or
