How Omnipresent helped a Series A startup to improve its financial forecasting and more easily hire the right talent as it expanded internationally.

MaestroQA is a fast growing Series A-funded company with an expanding global presence. The MaestroQA platform is used by its clients to enhance quality assurance, in customer service teams across across the B2B software, financial services, eCommerce and people services industries

Working with Omnipresent has better enabled MaestroQA to hire the talent it needs in key markets and improved the quality and reliability of the company’s financial forecasting.

As part of their international expansion, Maestro had initially worked with another large Employer of Record Provider. However, increasing costs led them to seek a more cost-effective solution that would allow for greater flexibility in global hiring.

Making it easier to solve talent shortages & expand internationally

The cost savings provided by Omnipresent have enabled MaestroQA to be more flexible with their hiring decisions, which is crucial for growing a global workforce.

The added flexibility that using Omnipresent creates has, in turn, allowed Maestro QA to expand their talent search globally. Michael explains that this MaestroQA the freedom to hire in countries that they previously wouldn’t have considered.

Maestro plans to expand its operation in the EU, most likely in Ireland or Portugal. Having already hired a staff member in Singapore, Maestro also has plans to increase its headcount in the Asia Pacific region.

Enhanced financial forecasting

For Michael, in his finance role, one of the most valuable aspects of working with Omnipresent has been the improved ability to forecast and budget accurately. The detailed breakdown of costs in Omnipresent's invoices has been particularly beneficial.

This level of detail allows for more accurate forecasting of different cost components, including salaries, commissions, and payroll taxes. Michael notes that this is what sets Omnipresent apart from MaestroQA’s previous EOR provider, which typically wouldn’t separate out these different cost components.

Ongoing support

The ease of the onboarding process has been particularly valuable for MaestroQA, with as well as the ongoing expert support Michael and his staff have received.

Michael explains how Omnipresent’s legal and benefits teams always take the time to explain the crucial aspects of international employment, such as setting up appropriate health benefits

For example, Omnipresent’s team of employment experts offered MaestroQA the necessary guidance to help them offer the competitive, compliant benefits in new countries where they were hiring staff. Omnipresent made it easier for MaestroQA to ensure they were aligning their international benefits to those currently provided to their US employees.

Omnipresent has also enabled MaestroQA to benchmark its international employees’ salaries fairly. Michael explains more.

Michael notes that employees in specific countries have benefitted from the expert, localised support that Omnipresent provides, thereby improving employee satisfaction.  Examples include:

  • Migrating an employee based in France to the Omniplatform.
  • Supporting an employee who wanted to move back to Ireland for marital reasons.
