About our panelists
Irene is Head of People at Omnipresent, where she is responsible for culture and the employee lifecycle. She has vast experience in the people sphere and it was during her time at SumUp that she discovered her passion lies in scaling start-ups. She is currently based in Berlin.
David is the Co-Founder and COO at Ben, the all-in-one benefits and reward platform. Before founding Ben, David spent 15+ years in financial services and technology startups including at HSBC, SoundCloud, Mosaic Ventures, and Monitor Deloitte.
Derek has been working with SumUp for the past 3 years. He starting off leading the business recruiting team and is now a Senior People Partner within the Global Expansions team. He has 11 years of experience within talent acquisitions, management and leadership working with companies across Europe and the Middle East. He’s an avid traveller (pre-Covid) and can usually be found trying out one of Berlin’s restaurants or watching/taking part in sports.
Alyx has worked at Hibob for 3 years and loves growing her HR career within an HR-tech company like Hibob. She values being able to help build a work environment where people can thrive at work. Her role involves partnering with the US & Europe sites on all things people, with a particular focus on employee experience through onboarding.
